This program is the first time Class A and structural components have been implemented on a production vehicle resulting in a 150 pound weight reduction over the previous Dodge Viper.
Plasan worked with the Chrysler Advanced Engineering Team to implement the first production clamshell hood within 12 months earning the following recognition at the 2012 SPE Awards:

This product was originally designed as an aluminum component. Plasan worked with the Chrysler Advanced Engineering Team to implement an exposed weave carbon fiber option that reduces the part weight 50% while maintaining stiffness.
